… Reconciliation Committee set to meet Uba, Muoghalu, ors

Eight governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are billed to storm Anambra State next week as the party kick-off its gubernatorial campaign.
As a prelude to the flag-off of the campaign, the party in the State has set up a Reconciliation Committee to reach out to all aggrieved aspirants and other stakeholders of the Party  in order to carry every one along.
The Reconciliation is coming on the heels of disenchantment and threats of anti-party activities following the emergence of Dr. Tony Nwoye as the flag-bearer of the party at the expense of such rivals as Senator Andy Uba, Engr. Barth Nwibe, George Muoghalu, Patrick Nwike, among others.
The Committee which is headed by the running mate to APC’s gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Dozie Ikedife Jnr. Has other members like Tony One-Week Muonagor (Secretary), Chief Chidi Ebede, John Bosco Onunkwo, George Ozodinobi (former House of Representatives member), Tony Akaenyi , Chibuzor Obiakor, Chief Uzoma Onwuachu, and Osy Ezenwa, former Secretary to the State Government.
Others are Barrister Hyacinth Nweke (former Commissioner, Youth and Sports), Hon. Celestine Ughamadu (former Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly), Calista Nwachukwu 9former Chair person, Ogbaru Local Government Council, Ike Ekwensi, and Alex Ekemezie.
Inaugurating the Committee, the State Chairman, Barrister Emeka Ibe noted that the aim is to reach out to aggrieved aspirants who may have natural misgivings about the conduct of the Primary election which threw up Nwoye as the candidate for the November 18, 2017 election, denying that the party does not have any crisis.
Barrister Ibe maintained that reconciliation exercise is intended to carry everybody along in the coming APC government and will herald the governorship campaign next week.
He dismissed the rumour making the round that Nwoye will be substituted early October this year, and expressed the hope that the APC will capture Anambra State Government House come March 8, 2018.
Also speaking, a close confidant of Dr. Nwoye and a chieftain of APC, Chief Basil Ejidike maintained that there was no crack in the party, and hailed the leadership of the party in the State for its wise decision to set up the reconciliation team.
Ejidike who is the former Chairman of Onitsha South Local Government Council, predicted that political tsunami will take place in the State after next week’s flag-off of the campain in which eight governors of the party will be in attendance.
Earlier in his acceptance speech, the Chairman of the Reconciliation Committee, Hon. Ikedife Jnr appreciated the leadership of the party for finding it worthy to inaugurate the team which he said will face the task with any seriousness it deserves.
