Some gunmen on Tuesday evening attacked the meeting being held by members of Enugu South  local government  chapter of the All progressive Congress APC, and  shot dead the  State Youth leader of the party, Mr. Kelvin Ezeoha and one other member..

It was learnt that members of the party from Ward 3 Obeagu Awkunanaw, Enugu South Local Government Area were having a reconciliation meeting at the party office located in their ward when the armed men numbering over seven stormed the venue killing the  two party members  instantly and abducted one other person whose identity could not  be obtained by press time.

A Chieftain of the party, who confirmed the incident in Enugu, Tuesday night, said "some gunmen invaded the Enugu South LGA APC meeting this evening while their  meeting was in progress and opened fire on the party members.

"They killed the immediate past Enugu South local government  Chairman of the party, now  the incumbent state youth leader, Mr. Kelvin Ezeoha and one other person, while a party member was kidnapped."

The source said it could not be ascertained if the killing was a case of political assassination or  handwork of suspected  members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, who have been unleashing terror on innocent citizens of South East in the name of enforcing the sit-at-home order it declared on Tuesday.

Efforts to speak with the state police public Relations officer PPRO, ASP Daniel Ndukwe on the development was unsucessful by press time.
