Sad! Osita Osadebe’s son dies in Anambra flood

The family of late highlife icon, Osita Osadebe are not in the best of mood at the moment.

The son of the crooner died after he was swept by a surging flood at Atani, Ogbaru local government, Anambra state. The shocking incident reportedly happened on Thursday 27th of September evening.

According to  reports, the deceased was recovered by villagers early this morning.

The deceased was the son of late Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe an Igbo Nigerian highlife musician from Atani. His career spanned over 40 years, and he is one of the best known Igbo highlife musicians.

Corpse of Master Okechukwu Osadebe was recovered by villagers early this morning, and according to Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area, Mr Arinze Awogu the deceased drowned while fetching water with a bucket.

Recently, a nine-year-old girl identified as Benedict Uzo was killed by the flood disaster in Amiyi, Ogbaru council of Anambra State.

The Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area, Mr Arinze Awogu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday that the deceased drowned while fetching water with a bucket.

He said, ‘’Benedict’s 11-year-old elder sister who tried to rescue her almost lost her life too but was quickly rescued by neighbours”.
