The Adoration Ministry, Enugu, has cancelled plans to resume its programme after a long shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stakeholders of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria had resolved to reopen the ministry’s programme with Sunday Masses from 5th July 2020 following the lifting of ban on religious gathering.

But in a statement signed by the Spiritual Director Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the Ministry said the coast is not yet clear for resumption.

The statement reads: “I regret to inform you that after a careful prayerful review of the situation by some stakeholders; considering the peculiarity of the Adoration ministry and her unique modus operandi(method of operation),we concluded that the coast is not yet clear for the reopening of the ministry on the 5th July as earlier agreed.

“The unhealthy rising cases of the COVID-19 Pandemic vis-à-vis the need for more time needed by the ministry to put adequate measures for prevention of spread of the virus as recommended by WHO have made it imperative to put on hold our planned reopening of the ministry.

“A new date for the reopening of the ministry will be communicated to you in due course.

“I thank God for His protective care and Providence that have sustained us throughout this global trying moment.. Let us with patience , faith and love keep covering each other with the Blood of Jesus Christ. Rev12.11.

“May the Lord of Host, Jesus Christ the Miracle Worker and the Holy Spirit (our power) protect us favourably, miraculously and mercifully in Jesus name.

“Fear not my beloved people of God and fellow Adoration members. By the special grace and wisdom of God, we shall emerge joyfully, gloriously and triumphantly . Please bear with us.

“Spread this information to our members everywhere. Remain a faithful Adoration ambassador wherever you are. Adoration!!! The Holy Spirit is our power!!!’
