Fourteen students of Greenfield University in Kaduna State were on Saturday released by their captors weeks after their abduction.

It was learnt that the students were released along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway.

One of the parents of the freed students confirmed the release of the students to newsmen  in Kaduna.

Recall that the students were abducted on April 20 after bandits broke into the University.

A few days later five of the students were found dead in a village close to the school.

Parents of the abducted students had said they were told to pay a ransom and provide eight new motorcycles to the kidnappers before their children can be released.
