A 26-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a lady in Ondo State.
The suspect identified as Ayodele Andrew Bankole allegedly committed the crime at a hotel known as ‘Enjoy your life’ in Oke-Aro area of Akure, the state capital.
Bankole, who was nabbed by police operatives reportedly took to his heels after committing the crime.
While parading the suspect at the police headquarters in Akure, the Commissioner of Police, Oyeyemi Oyediran disclosed that the suspect was arrested after he made attempt to flee from the crime scene.
According to Oyediran, a young lady of about 24-years-old was found in the pool of her blood with fresh injuries on her neck and chest with blood stained knife recovered at the scene
The police boss added that the lady was confirmed dead at the hospital, stressing that the suspect will be charged to hospital after conclusion of investigation.
