Gunmen have abducted 15 persons in Niger State.
The Niger State Command, Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed this in a statement on Sunday.
According to Abiodun, the criminals had stormed the remote community via Ibbi in Mashegu Local Government Area and also rustled a yet-to-be known number of cattle.
They were also said to have broken into a provision shop at Kawo Village.
The PPRO noted that a team of police/vigilante have been drafted to the area for search and rescue of the abducted victims.
